I’ll be showing and selling some of my printed wares at a new independent print fair happening here in Leeds.
Saturday 27th June 2015 is the date, Wharf Chambers is the venue, and 12 – 5pm is the time when you’ll be able to see lovely work by myself and a number of other artists, print designers, & illustrators.
Come on down, chat to the artists directly about their work, and pick up some some afordable pieces of art for your walls.
Fans of great coffee may be pleased to know that a small selection of my framed prints are now on the walls of Laynes Espresso, in Leeds. It’s run by some great guys and gals, who really know their stuff, and they serve the best coffee you will find in Leeds — if you’ve not paid them a visit before, they are very close to the train station – have a look at their site for the address which you can no doubt convert into an interweb-magic-map. www.laynesespresso.co.uk
The prints themselves are all for sale at very reasonable, ready-framed prices. Interested parties should simply get in touch with me and swift arrangements can be made. Cheers!
Hey you, would you like to learn how to screenprint your own prints and posters in a fun and exciting environment? Well I have just the thing!
2 Day Screenprinting Workshop – 15/16th June 2013
The 2 day course is held by myself and fellow print artist Cameron Steward, and covers the entire process of getting your design ready for print, preparing and creating screens, and screenprinting prints and posters; specific topics to be covered will be:
– Designing work using graphics software or by hand
– Making your design ‘screenprint friendly’-understanding the pros and cons of the medium
– Registration tips and tricks
– Using such techniques as trapping and overprinting
– Screenprinting accurately and at speed
– Paper types and weights
The course takes place at the West Yorkshop Print Workshop, in Mirfield (easy to get to from Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield, etc.).
We’ve had some great feedback from previous course attendees so it is as educational and it is fun.
Thought Bubble is probably the best event of it’s kind in the UK – not just a comics convention but a true celebration of sequential art and culture of all kinds. It’s taking place this weekend and I’m delighted to say that I’ll be present selling some of my printed goods at the OK COMICS stand.
I will have a selection of my screenprinted posters for people to browse and buy, including a few choicely framed items, and I’ll also have notebooks, sketchbooks, and a few other things. If you’re going to be in attendance please come by and say hello – we’re right by the entrance!
For those unaware of the work of HP Lovecraft, he was an American writer of horror and weird fiction and is one of those individuals who sadly did not find much popularity while alive but developed something of a cult following since his death.
The HP Lovecraft Literary Podcast is something I’ve enjoyed listening to since its inception. It’s hosts, along with various guests, discuss the stories of Lovecraft and talk about the good, the bad, and the sometimes terrible!
They will be recording a live episode of the podcast in Leeds, and this is a commemorative poster I’ve designed to go along with the event.

I’m very pleased to be able to share a project I’ve been involved in for the past few months, working with Mister Finch – a Leeds-based textile artist who makes amazing soft sculpture creatures. He has just […]
