Some of you may have heard of Northern Craft, the great craft fair which takes place here in Leeds. Well, they’ve expanded their remit into a cool looking, curated exhibition of artist designed enamel pin badges, and I’m delighted to have been included.
Contributing artists were asked to design a badge with the ideas of Northern and Craft, or some permutation thereof, in mind and I think the end results will be a great celebration of the vibrant art and craft scene of the North – Yorkshire in particular.
The exhibition will have an evening launch on Friday 4th August from 6pm til 10pm, and will also be available for purchase during the Northern Craft Summer Fair (11am-5pm Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th August) that follows. It all takes place at The Refectory at Northern Monk Brew Co, in Leeds.

I recently illustrated and screenprinted a set of prints depicting the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen Y Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
I’ve hiked and run around this area of the Yorkshire Dales many times, and have even done the Three Peaks Fell Race a couple of times also.
I’ve been up them when it’s been clear enough to see all three from one spot, and I’ve also been up when they’ve been covered in snow – whatever the conditions there’s always something special about these peaks and I wanted to commemorate that with these pieces of art.
You can see some more process photos over here. They are available to purchase on my Shop.
I’ll be showing and selling some of my printed wares at a new independent print fair happening here in Leeds.
Saturday 27th June 2015 is the date, Wharf Chambers is the venue, and 12 – 5pm is the time when you’ll be able to see lovely work by myself and a number of other artists, print designers, & illustrators.
Come on down, chat to the artists directly about their work, and pick up some some afordable pieces of art for your walls.
