Much Ado About Nothing

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre once again hired motion collaborator Greig Johnson and I to create a trailer for their production of Much Ado About Nothing.

Directed by Matthew Dunster, what makes this version of the classic tale boldly different is that it is set during the Mexican Revolution of 1914 and is awash with bright colours and up-tempo Latin music.

The Globe’s design team already had a great photo-collage aesthetic for the play so I kept my design work reasonably similar to keep everything nice and cohesive. I dug up a lot of old photographs and other bits of printed ephemera and designed the various scenes and assets which magical Mr Johnson then brought to life. This was a lot of fun.
